Urban Bat Walks

Join Nature Centre staff for an Urban Bat Walk! Using hand-held bat detectors, we will listen for bats’ ultrasonic calls in High Park and explore their habitat, behaviour, and favourite foods as they swoop and loop during their evening, mid-air forage. There is much to learn about these creatures, but with the help of citizen scientists like you, we can work together to uncover the secrets of their elusive lives.

Urban Bat Walks will follow talks on the dates indicated below:

June 21 | Urban Bat Walks starts at 8:45PM

July 5 | Urban Bat Walk starts at 8:45PM

July 19 | Urban Bat Walk starts at 8:45PM

August 2 | Urban Bat Walk starts at 8:30PM

August 23 | Urban Bat Walk starts at 8:15PM

See our Events Calendar for detailed descriptions of the Urban Bat Walks and for more info on Family Urban Bat Walks (suited to children and families – also stroller friendly!).
