Camp is an amazing adventure! Happy Nature Centre campers run, hike, climb, sing, explore, get dirty, make new friends and connect to nature in downtown Toronto’s largest urban park.
At the High Park Nature Centre, we want all kids to experience the joy that time in nature can bring and grow up with a connection to the natural world. That is why we started the “Happy Camper Fund” – to give the “gift of camp” to deserving children from local organizations like Romero House and Kids Up Front. No matter how big or small, your donation this fund will help to instill a love for nature in a child who would otherwise face barriers to participation.
Please consider making a donation today to help us reach our goal of sending 10 children to Nature Camp in the wonderful urban wilderness of High Park.
Tax receipts will be issued for donations $20 and above.
Online donations are processed through CanadaHelps.Org.
About our Partners:
Kids Up Front Toronto is a registered charity that provides access to arts, culture, sport and recreation for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity. Kids Up Front’s “Kids’ City Park Project” welcomes newcomer families and families facing barriers by taking them out of their neighbourhoods, often for the first time, and into the wilderness just a short trip away.
Romero House provides transitional housing and settlement services to people who claim refugee status after arriving in Canada, welcoming refugees regardless of religion, ethnicity, political beliefs, sexual orientation or gender identity. Romero House offers social and emotional support to their residents with every element of their settlement in Canada, and also provides a variety of programs for residents, including a Kids’ Club and Women’s Group; retreats throughout the year; and a summer camp.
