All of our camps are designed to offer hands-on nature exploration through play and discovery.
Leafhoppers are a creative, active group that love to have fun. Participants learn about the ecology of High Park through play, inquiry, direct experience, stewardship action and observation. Leafhoppers will make crafts, read stories, play games, and explore High Park!
Discover the amazing diversity of plants, animals and insects of High Park’s forest, savannah and wetland habitats. Cicadas will play nature games, make nature crafts to take home, swim at the High Park pool, go on scavenger hunts, and meet lots of new friends!
Dragonflies are seriously into nature! Studying a new natural history theme each day, campers will have fun learning how to hone their observation, identification, and environmental stewardship skills, while working together as a team. Dragonflies also go swimming in the High Park pool.
High Park Rangers Leaders in Training (LIT)
High Park Rangers take care of High Park while becoming environmental leaders in the community. In the first week of camp, Rangers will develop important teamwork, leadership, and nature skills. After their week of “training”, Rangers will come back to volunteer with summer camp for one or two weeks.
*Participation in High Park Rangers will help youth accumulate community involvement hours required to graduate high school.
