High Park is home to an abundance of birds who frequent the feeders around our Forest School building. Through our LIVE Feeder Cam Project, we aim to observe and monitor these diverse bird species, to better understand population dynamics, avian behavior, seasonal trends, and more!

Submitting In-Person Sightings to eBird via Mobile App

Step 1: Download the eBird app on iPhone/Android and login or create an account.

Step 2: Click ‘Start New Checklist’.

Step 3: Click ‘Choose a Nearby Hotspot’ and search ‘Toronto–High Park (Forest School)’ for your location.

Step 4: Select the date/time of the sighting and click ‘Start’ in the top right corner to complete the observation form.

Step 5: Click ‘Submit’.


Submitting In-Person Sightings to eBird via Website

Step 1: Go to ebird.org and login or create an account.

Step 2: Click ‘Submit Observations’ on the top bar.

Step 3: Search ‘Toronto’ under ‘Find it on a Map‘, and select ‘Toronto, Ontario, Canada (CA)’

Step 4: Beside ‘Zoom To’ at the top of the map, type in ‘High Park Nature Centre’ and select ‘High Park Nature Centre, Colborne Lodge Drive, Toronto, ON‘.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Bird Hotspot’ Icon (red shape with fire symbol) and our location will appear on the side of the screen: Toronto–High Park (Forest School).

Step 4: Click ‘Continue’ and complete the observation form.

Step 5: Click ‘Submit’.
